月見草（メマツヨイグサ）は、過酷な環境下に生息する植物で、-25°Cの低温に耐えることができる黄色い花を咲かせます。アメリカ大陸では、7万年前の氷河期を生き延びたと言われています。夕方に花を咲かせ、朝に再び閉じ、数秒から20分ほど突然開花します。エノテインが豊富に含んでいます。
